So I was cleaning upstairs, mainly my bedroom, changing sheets, etc. etc., and had a moment where I looked at all the books on my floor (I love to read) and, realized that if a complete stranger came into my space, she'd think I was bit odd. You know, if the kinds of books one read was an insight into that person's life, one might have difficulty in figuring me out.
So instead of you trying to analyze me, I feel as if I need to explain.
From top to bottom:
1. A book my hubby just finished and was really moved by. I love biographical books and I've read some of A.W. Tozer's writings so I am interested in reading about the man behind the words.
2. A book my son wanted me to read because it was sooooooo good. About this airplane that lands in an airport, full of babies. No one knows where it came from. Skip forward a few years, these adopted kids discover that they are NOT who they thought they were. Haven't finished it but can deduce by the pre-teen formula for novels that those kids are indeed one of the airplane babies.
3. Tinkerbell...come on...who do you think is having me read that one? When she is able to give up a night of bedtime reading of Calvin and Hobbes with her dad, this is what we read. Even though she's seen the movie a million times.
4. Another one my son gave me. Mainly because he knows I've read all the Harry Potter series and knows I'll probably enjoy this Rowling extra. He read it in a day, so I just need to step up and read it in a night and get it over with. Though I'm sure I'll enjoy it.
5. Finally, a book of my choice. A little mute boy and his sidekick of a dog run away after his father mysteriously drops dead. It's a life long tale of his adventures that lead him back full circle to discovering how his father died.
Ok, enough explanation. I won't even tell you about the other 20 books that are piled on my floor. Another post...

I think my son Ty has read all of the books by Haddix...and loves them all!
The Tales of Beedle the Bard was fun too. I read a tale a night and it only took a week :-)
