Two horses--Dapper (the lover) and Walter (the newly reformed)
One (or two?) nameless goats
One hen (who lays her eggs in the corner of the work shed instead of her pen)
Plus one baby chicken
Oh, and add to that a baby duck, Emily
Four Australian Shepherds (Oreo, Brook, Blue, and.....?) all raised by Heidi
Were there fish? I thought I saw fish.
One tire swing
Dusty cowboy boots resting in an old play house
Well worn saddles
Dirt bikes and ramps
Views of the hills and fields, old fences, barbed wire
Lots o'dust. Did I say lots o' dust?
All this and more at Bob and Heidi's Place where we visited tonight to celebrate their oldest son's high school graduation. We also found ourselves eating good food, climbing the trees, feeding the horses and goat, petting the chicken and the duck, watching Zach (for the first time) ride a dirt bike (and crash--yes I took a deep breath), pushing Michaela in the tire swing (the entire time), and vowing to come again. Because everytime we are there the kids love it and there's just a bit more space (and dirt), and nothing is pristine clean and fancy--and I like it just that way. Thanks Bob and Heidi!

So this is the place. Love it, how serene! I just came from a ranch myself and didn't want to leave! :-) Great shots!
