Remembering

Somewhere in the generations of our collective memory we know this snapshot well. We have stood on the shoreline waiting and watching as the foamy tide tumbles and rolls in toward us, our fear of being swallowed up and swept out tempered by the firm hold around us. There is safety in the loving grasp we know so well. And safety in the feeling of our body being swooped up just in time.
How many faded photographs of this moment are stashed in our ancient magnetic photo albums, pasted in our scrapbooks, or catalogued in our digital libraries? It is a universal, timeless, moment we experience and then give to our own children...who then pass on to their own. All caught in a faded photograph so we can smile...and remember.

Tracy,
You certainly captured a universal moment. Well done.
