This is how God showed his love among us:
He sent his one and only Son into the world
that we might live through him.
This is love: not that we loved God,
but that he loved us and sent his Son as an
atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Dear friends, since God so loved us,
we also ought to love one another.
I John 4: 9-11
It is that last part that convicts me every time.
It is one of the truest measures of my faith:
that if I am willing to stand on the roof tops and proclaim to you that God is love
yet I refuse to withhold my love (from my neighbor, spouse, child, enemy) then I am simply a "resounding gong, a clanging symbol"
or in my words, a noisy hypocrite, a barking fool.
The events of Easter always reminds me of what I believe to be the purest act of love.
Not sure how you celebrate it, how you believe, (or if you believe at all?)
but know that I believe you are loved
and that the events of Easter prove that your were worth it.
Have a blessed weekend...
xoxo

I've been singing a little song in my head today...I learned it way back in Sunday school when I was young. One of those little jingles that help you memorize a verse. The verse happened to be 1 John 4:10. I come to your blog and see it again. A lovely post with beautiful pictures and words. And I couldn't agree more. Happy Easter!
love the textures on these... i just got pse (well, it's coming in the mail) so i'll be coming to you soon for advice. :)
