Here's to...

With uncontainable joy and excitement she could be seen above the rest of the crowd cheering her little heart out. She was cheering for her teachers (as they sped by on little tricycles) but as I witnessed her through my view finder (completely tickled by her exuberance) I could not help but smile at the perfect picture of how we all feel on our last day of school: joy, relief, excitement for summer, or even a "thank god it's over!"

Except I always get a little sappy on the last day of school. :(

Shoot, I get a little sappy every time I have to turn a new page. One more year of school under our belt, a year's worth of growth and friendships formed, lessons learned, memories made. It is the theme of my cry: time is moving too fast! Just yesterday I was going to their preschool graduations. Now I have one who is one year away from jr. high. Sappy, sappy, sappy.

So yesterday as I stood out in the sun for six hours working on my farmer's tan while the kids enjoyed their annual Field Day, I took up my camera to capture a few moments.

Here's to friendships...

(That little boy in the middle? Brought Bean a box of chocolates and a flower on Valentines Day last year. She said, "Mom, no other boy did that, that's kinda weird." Yeah....I've got my mama bear eyes on him. I'm watchin' him Bean.)

And then this pic below? The best I could do to capture the ten year old boys. These boys are quite amusing. What ten year old boy is not, I ask? The names the have for each other are not repeatable. (shaking my head)

And here's to remembering your fifty states Zach...
(You passed your fifty states test!)

Forgetting not Alaska...

And here's to a wonderful, loving teacher...
(Didn't want to embarrass the ten year old in front of his buddies by asking him to take a picture with his wonderful amazing teacher of two years.)

And to all teachers who have no qualms about acting like a kid...

Here's to another year in the bucket of memories...

Remembering how we are growing up, almost too big for the tricycle, but never too young to enjoy it...

Here's to another wonderful year. No let's go enjoy summer!
