a sun soaked summer is in full swing

This past week: two all-day pool days, and two all-day beach days. 

I think I can honestly say that I am sun-filled, sun-soaked, and sun-pooped. 

I already need a break from sun screen...wearing it and putting it on other people.

Give me an umbrella please.

But this is summer,  and that means:

Sandy feet...

Boogie boarding...

Working the tan...

Smelling like chlorine...

Running from the tide...

And wrapping it all up with a good beach towel and a good sunset...

Other summer happenings this week: BBQ with friends, grilled hamburgers, corn on the cob, homemade strawberry pie and ice cream (with "mix-ins"--cookie dough, crushed oreos, gummy bears), several sleep-overs, fishing with Papa, picnic lunches, Otter Pops, sand in the car, empty sun screen bottles, daily rinse off showers, late night movies, and lots of deep sleep.
