Sooooo. Moving on from Friday's introspective post about teen beach drug use, let us do a little do-over of the beach day post.
Here are the pictures of our beautiful beach day...
(Let us pretend that there is peace love and healthiness spanning the entire shoreline.)

Did you feel the peace, love and healthiness?
This was actually one of the few sunny days at the beach this summer. It has just been a weird weather summer here in my part of California. Not a lot of super heat, not a lot of tan going on, and I have rarely worn the short shorts/strappy tank top ensemble that one breaks out in the summer heat. Beach days have been foggy or sunny, yet mild, like this day. But it was sunny, and we were happy. The tide dumped a ton of sea weed up on shore and that made for some fun exploration. We even found a starfish (but totally brain fritzed on whipping my camera out to capture it). By the end of the day the beach was populated with groups of mini lifeguard trainees running back and forth, counting out push ups, running into the water, running out. My favorite part of the day was capturing my son as he listened to his Auntie L tell him a story of his dad in his college days. I won't repeat the story here, but the smile on his face pretty much sums up his reaction. (Yeah, that was a mild story kid, just wait till you're old enough to hear the others.)
After going through the rest of the photos I found I had an unusual amount of action, mid-air, leap shots and so aside from the ones I already shared above, here are a few outtakes to bring you smiles this Monday morning.
Levitating with beach joy. Really. She was just hopping around like a happy sand bug when we first arrived...

May you leap into your week with much joy and happiness! (cue big cheesey, toothy smile)
Yeah Monday!
Yeah Monday!

Tracey,
I don't know how you found my blog either (and I thank you for your kind words), but I'm so glad you did, because it led me to your lovely little corner of the blogosphere. Not only do you take beautiful photographs, but you also blend words together in a thoughtful, wonderful way.
Ah yes. Summer has not really arrived here either. But the beach is still so lovely and so are your pics!
