I took this picture a couple of days ago. I thought that maybe with a quiet moment to myself I just might want to pick up my camera not just with my hands, but with my heart.
In my wondering I found another friend who was settling into her own quiet space and our individual moments of solitude bumped into each other for a brief quiet moment.
She was settling in for the evening, tucked away in her stall. I was enjoying the hush of quiet and the fading winter light. I took this picture and then jumped into the warmth of my car and waited for Bean to be done with her riding lesson.
Solitude is so healing.

It's so true. And often forgotten. Reminds me of this awesome video.

I love this, Tracey. Praying for more moments of solitude for you.
Wonderful (Lensbaby, right? And/or textured?) photo.
Thanks for popping by my blog and thank you for the comment (I AM proud of you!). So nice to "see" you again. I've missed you. Love and hugs right back at chaya.

solitude is one of my favorite words... and concepts.
and i so love the end of the second sentence in the first paragraph... so poetic.
i imagine that when my little one arrives in june, i will no longer find it easy to take advantage of moments of solitude. it truly is a healing. such a wonderful thing.
some time, tracey, could i put this on my "...shhhh" blog? i would, of course, provide a link and a credit to you. it's just so peaceful and quietly serene... so the kind of thing i like to feature on that blog.
