Today was one of those days...
Up early.
Off to a meeting.
Back home. Eat.
To school to make copies, prepare for board meeting.
Daughter in the office at noon, "My tummy hurts."
Coordinating with Daddy to get Michaela from school after his lunch.
Leave copies.
Take daughter, go to Safeway to get snacks for board meeting.
Bring M home. Watch an episode of Hannah Montana. (Helps tummy)
Pack daughter up, go pick up friend for meeting.
Lead board meeting. (Fastest meeting ever!)
Come back home to see if kids are with Scott. (Why wouldn't they be? You never know...)
Off to the dance studio to pay tuition and pick up the car seat we left there yesterday.
Drop off overdue books at library.
Back home.
In the midst of this I realize that somehow I needed to fit in my photo for the day. I made vows to myself you know? But who'd have the energy after a day like this? But, I heard the family head out the door for some pre-rain outside-time and I swooped up my camera and followed them out. (By this time Michaela has sufficiently recovered from her "tummy ache".)
So here are a couple of action shots from the pre-rain play. I played with my flash exposure for the one of Scott. We laughed that he didn't look very skater'ish...nice white socks and glasses and basic all round dad look. But he had fun trying to capture the shot I wanted. With all of us out there just hangin' I forgot about the crazy day. And then I noticed a couple of rain drops on my camera. The rain had made its way down from the hills to our home. Time to head on in...
**as I write this, my kids have completely come unglued. Wow, how things can turn so quickly.
**addendum to yesterday's post: ok, so the swear words might be a little "R" rated. Scott wanted to correct me on this. And, the fakery I spoke of...Zach's doing. He's totally broke so he dipped into his play stash. His "I Owe You's", or so he says.
