Garden Life

Above: an alien looking onion plant, ready to flower and re-seed itself.
Below: garden lettuce. Actually a Cabbage Patch Kid ready to be birthed. My brother is growing them and selling them on eBay--knock off Cabbage Patch Kids sold to unsuspecting kids. They'll never know the difference. Just kidding. I'm loopy with exhaustion.

One of those little pods on the scallions opened this morning. Strangest looking flower I have ever seen. The other plant was actually my failed attempt to grow brussel sprouts. Hmmm....but I won't tell my niece that. I'll try to pass off the illusion that the plant is actually where her dolls have indeed been coming from. Then again, I have told her so many fibs and tales that she would probably see right through me.
