My Girl Sunday

She is my Girl Sunday, with her multi-colored braid and her summer dress...her belly full with a church donut, face smudged with some hot cocoa too. She is her Daddy's Girl Sunday...now tucked in bed with him, reading a book and drifting off to a nap (or snooze, as we call them).  She won't stop growing, I tell her. I want her to stay little. (Yesterday I cried when I found pictures of her two year old self, with her blanky and baby doll, and her once wispy curly hair.)
I cannot give her enough hugs...

I'm cryin right along with you. I wake up in the mornings, and they are taller, their legs are literally longer. Who gave them the right to grow out of childhood this quickly? Hugs, more hugs, that is the truth!
