Destination: rest and relaxation

Time to go soak up some sun, rest and relax...

Kick up my feet in a beach chair...

Maybe take a break under the shade of an umbrella, think, read, let my mind roam...

I am heading down to my friend's beach home on the southern coast of California. Leaving the hubby home to hold down the fort. Have bought him food and left him a list of things that have to happen (water the plants, bring in mail, lock the doors when he goes to sleep). I'm sure when I will return it will smell like a man cave, but I am glad to let him have some space to "be" by himself.
We'll miss him.

See you all when I return on Monday. While I'm gone, leave me a comment--tell me what you have goin' on this summer, fun plans (or no plans), books you want to read, dream trips you'd want to take if you won the lotto, camps you're sending your kids to, yadda yadda.

I'm off!
xoxo

First summer in years that we have no vacation plans. If I had money to burn, I'd definitely go to Hawaii. Went to Maui back in the early 90's, and want to go back!! Enjoy your down time. :)

I'm going to miss my daily dose of your sweet spirit. Enjoy your rest and relaxation. I'm hoping to squeeze some in myself, but probably not for a few more months. It's good to take a break and reflect on the beauty of God's creation, not only in nature, but in the ones we hold dear.

I've missed you! I hope you are soaking up some rays and enjoying every minute with your baby girl. I'm sure you are.

I've been wanting to read Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller. I haven't been reading as much as I would like to lately. I'm hoping to get more of that in this summer. Along with playing outside with the kidlets, maybe a Twins game in the new stadium, trips to the lake.....us Minnesotans LOVE summer!!

hope you have a great time! so many dreams of what to do this summer and daily ins and outs that will make life so much easier for me. sleep. exercise. not rush my kiddos out the door in the morning. read an intelligent book (the kind you feel smarter after reading and that you want to recommend). slow down. study my Bible. savor my girls. and my man.

so much to be thankful for. oh yeah, and soak up some sun and play!
